- For fixing steel to square, rectangular and circular hollow sections from one side, with a flush fit head; used in steel framework such as gantries, bridges, stadiums and transmission towers.
- Nine sizes: M8, M10 and M12, each in three lengths with grip ranges from 8 to 27mm (M8 x 50) up to 54 to 76mm (M12 x 100).
- Working loads for the HBS-Bolt assembly: M8 6.0kN tension and 7.0kN shear; M10 10.0kN and 12.0kN; M12 13.0kN and 15.0kN. The connection may be weaker because of the other parts in it. Characteristic loads are also listed for design, and are not working loads.
- Hole in the steel: M8 14.0 to 15.0mm, M10 18.0 to 19.0mm, M12 20.0 to 21.0mm, with a countersink for the flush head. The sheet also gives hole spacing, edge distance and minimum fixture thickness.
- Tightening torque: M8 25Nm, M10 45Nm, M12 80Nm. Hold the flush fit sleeve setting nut (KBB88GUNM) with a spanner and tighten the bolt head with a torque wrench and hex bit; one install tool comes in each carton.
