Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • A medium duty drop-in anchor: setting pushes an internal wedge down to expand it, and friction holds the load. Suits light to medium loads at shallow embedment, and can be loaded straight away.
  • Zinc plated, ETA Option 7 and Part 6: approved for multiple use in cracked and non-cracked concrete for non-structural applications.
  • Plain anchor M6 x 25 to M12 x 50; anchor with lip M6 x 25 to M16 x 65. The M8 and larger sizes are also assessed for fire resistance; the M6 is not.
  • Setting tools M6 to M20 (EDTMSZM06 to EDTMSZM20). Using the Drop-In PRO setting tool gives a visual check that the anchor is set correctly.
  • For hand rails, formwork supports, mechanical, electrical and pipe brackets, and hangers for pipes, cable trays, ducts and ceiling frames.

Who it helps: Services installers and builders fixing hangers and brackets into concrete.
