Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • Two parts, both for M10 rod: MVWMSZIM100025 (25mm thread length, 46mm overall) and MVWMSZIM100050 (50mm thread length, 71mm overall). 14g thread, 16mm hex.
  • Made from carbon steel, zinc plated (RoHS compliant).
  • Working pull-out loads at 35mm embedment, with a safety factor of 2.5 for timber already included: 1,750N in F7 pine and 3,150N in hardwood. Lab results; the sheet says actual loads can differ with the timber.
  • Drive it with a 16mm socket at about 1,500rpm until the body is flush with the timber, then screw the M10 rod in clockwise until fully engaged.
  • Best installed with a cordless impact driver. The matching socket is MXSVS-SI (1/4 inch drive).

Who it helps: Plumbers, electricians and fire services installers hanging threaded rod under timber joists or beams.
