Mungo m2r Stainless Steel Throughbolt: Sizes, Installation and Load Data Sheet
Seven-page technical data sheet for the Mungo m2r throughbolt, a torque-controlled expansion anchor in A4/316 stainless steel for non-cracked concrete, and the m2r-C version with a big DIN 9021 washer. It covers intended use, parts and materials, sizes, installation data and design resistances under European approval ETA-05/0199.
What this covers
- Intended use
- Parts and materials
- Sizes and article codes
- Installation data
- Basic performance data
- Edge and spacing reduction
For Through Bolt Anchor.
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- For static and quasi-static loads in non-cracked concrete, strength classes C20/25 to C50/60. ETA option 7 covers the m2r; the m2r-C has no performance assessed.
- Bolt, sleeve, washer and nut are A4 stainless steel with no coating. Reaction to fire class A1; no fire resistance performance assessed.
- Sizes M6 x 65 to M16 x 180, with article codes 3300606 to 3301618. The m2r-C comes in M6 x 65, M8 x 80 and M10 x 95 only.
- Hammer drill only, clean the hole, and set the anchor once. Drill diameter equals the bolt size, for example M10: 10mm drill, 80mm hole depth, 30Nm installation torque. M12: 12mm drill, 90mm deep, 50Nm.
- Recommended tension load in non-cracked C20/25 concrete, no edge, spacing or splitting influence, with the ETA material safety factor and a 1.4 load safety factor: M6 3.57kN, M10 7.62kN, M16 14.29kN.
- Tables cover design resistance for higher concrete classes, steel and pull-out failure, and reduction factors for one limited edge or one limited spacing.
- The data assumes a properly cleaned hole in non-cracked concrete, and must be checked by an engineer experienced in anchorage and concrete work.
Who it helps: Builders fixing stainless steel throughbolts into concrete, and engineers checking design loads.
