Mungo m2 and m2-C GreenTec Throughbolt: Technical Data Sheet
Mungo's seven-page technical data sheet for the m2 throughbolt and the m2-C with a large washer, a torque-controlled expansion anchor for non-cracked concrete with a GreenTec zinc-nickel based coating. It covers sizes M6 to M20, installation data and characteristic, design and recommended resistances, based on ETA-05/0070.
What this covers
- Intended use and approvals
- Parts and materials
- Product information
- Installation data
- Basic performance data
- Concrete strength classes
- Edge and spacing reductions
For Through Bolt Anchor.
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- European Technical Approval Option 7, for non-cracked concrete only, strength classes C20/25 to C50/60. Reaction to fire class A1; no fire resistance performance assessed.
- GreenTec coating passed a 1,000 hour neutral salt spray test (DIN EN ISO 9227). The M20 sizes have no GreenTec protection, and the m2-C is zinc plated over 5µm.
- Sizes M6 to M20, article codes 3200606 (M6 x 65) to 1452016 (M20 x 160). The m2-C with DIN 9021 washer runs M8 x 80 to M16 x 440.
- Installation for M12: 12mm drill, 90mm hole depth, 68mm effective anchorage depth, 50Nm torque, 140mm minimum concrete thickness. Torque M6 5Nm, M8 15Nm, M10 30Nm, M16 100Nm, M20 200Nm.
- Recommended resistance for one M12 (185mm long or less, 68mm effective depth) in non-cracked C20/25 concrete, with no edge, spacing or splitting effects, partial safety factor 1.4 on load plus the ETA material factor: tension 11.43kN, shear 13.71kN.
- Characteristic and design resistances and the edge and spacing tables are for engineers. Loads must be reduced at minimum spacing, edge distance or member thickness.
- Hammer drilling only, clean the hole, set once only. Design to ETAG 001 Annex C with the full ETA-05/0070, checked by an engineer experienced in anchorage and concrete work.
Who it helps: Builders and engineers fixing into non-cracked concrete who need a coated throughbolt.
