Mungo m1tr and m1tr-C 316 Stainless Throughbolt: Technical Data Sheet

Mungo's seven-page technical data sheet for the m1tr throughbolt and m1tr-C with a large washer, a stainless steel A4/316 torque-controlled expansion anchor for cracked and non-cracked concrete. It covers sizes M8 to M16, installation data and characteristic, design and recommended resistances, based on ETA-12/0375.

What this covers

  • Intended use and approvals
  • Parts and materials
  • Product information
  • Installation data
  • Basic performance data
  • Concrete strength classes
  • Edge and spacing reductions

For Through Bolt Anchor.

Key things to remember

The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.

  • European Technical Approval Option 1 for cracked and non-cracked concrete, strength classes C20/25 to C50/60, reinforced or unreinforced. Seismic category C1, fire resistance F120, reaction to fire class A1.
  • Bolt and expansion sleeve in stainless steel 1.4404 (A4/316), nut A4-80, washers A4.
  • Sizes M8 to M16, article codes 3700806 (M8 x 68) to 3701622 (M16 x 220). The m1tr-C comes as M8 x 75 (3710807).
  • Installation for M12: 12mm drill, 100mm hole depth, 72mm effective anchorage depth, 60Nm torque, 150mm minimum concrete thickness. Torque M8 20Nm, M10 40Nm, M16 120Nm.
  • Recommended resistance for one M12 at 72mm effective depth in C20/25 concrete, with no edge, spacing or splitting effects, safety factor 1.4 on load plus the ETA material factor: tension 9.52kN non-cracked, 5.71kN cracked; shear 15.06kN cracked or non-cracked.
  • Characteristic and design resistances and the edge and spacing tables are for engineers. Loads must be reduced at minimum spacing, edge distance or member thickness.
  • Hammer drilling only, clean the hole, set once only. Design to ETAG 001 Annex C with the full ETA-12/0375, checked by an engineer experienced in anchorage and concrete work.
