Mungo m1t and m1t-C Zinc Plated Throughbolt: Technical Data Sheet
Mungo's seven-page technical data sheet for the m1t throughbolt and the m1t-C with a large washer, a zinc electroplated torque-controlled expansion anchor for cracked and non-cracked concrete. It covers sizes M8 to M16, installation data and characteristic, design and recommended resistances, based on ETA-12/0547.
What this covers
- Intended use and approvals
- Parts and materials
- Product information
- Installation data
- Basic performance data
- Concrete strength classes
- Edge and spacing reductions
For Through Bolt Anchor.
Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- European Technical Approval Option 1 for cracked and non-cracked concrete, strength classes C20/25 to C50/60, reinforced or unreinforced. Seismic categories C1 and C2, fire resistance F120, reaction to fire class A1.
- Sizes M8 to M16, article codes 3600806 (M8 x 68) to 3601622 (M16 x 220). The m1t-C comes as M8 x 75 (3610807) and M10 x 90 (3611009).
- Installation for M12: 12mm drill, 100mm hole depth, 72mm effective anchorage depth, 60Nm torque, 150mm minimum concrete thickness. Torque M8 20Nm, M10 40Nm, M16 120Nm.
- Recommended resistance for one M12 at 72mm effective depth in C20/25 concrete, with no edge, spacing or splitting effects, safety factor 1.4 on load plus the ETA material factor: tension 9.52kN non-cracked, 7.62kN cracked; shear 16.09kN cracked or non-cracked.
- Characteristic and design resistances, the concrete strength tables and the edge and spacing reduction factors are for engineers. Loads must be reduced at minimum spacing, edge distance or member thickness.
- Hammer drilling only, clean the hole, and set the anchor once only.
- Anchor design to ETAG 001 Annex C with the full ETA-12/0547, checked by an engineer experienced in anchorage and concrete work.
Who it helps: Engineers and builders fixing into cracked or non-cracked concrete, including seismic and fire-exposed work.
