Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Pre-assembled wedge-type sleeve anchor for solid concrete, property class 8.8, internally threaded for a neat finish. Uses listed: handrails, formwork supports, and mechanical, electrical and pipe brackets.
- Thirteen parts in four anchor sizes: 8mm (M6 thread) 45 to 90mm long, 10mm (M8) 45 to 100mm, 12mm (M10) 65 to 105mm, 16mm (M12) 75 and 110mm.
- Installation: 8mm anchor, 40mm minimum depth, 8 N-m; 10mm, 50mm, 25 N-m; 12mm, 60mm, 40 N-m; 16mm, 70mm, 50 N-m. Minimum concrete thickness 100mm (125mm for the 16mm).
- Minimum spacing and edge distance: 50mm, 60mm, 75mm and 100mm for the 8, 10, 12 and 16mm anchors.
- Working load in tension, 32MPa non-cracked concrete, factor of safety 2.5 for steel and 3.0 for concrete already included: 4.6kN for the 8mm (M6) at 40mm embedment, 6.5kN for the 12mm (M10) at 50mm, 8.5kN for the 16mm (M12) at 60mm.
- Working load in shear, same conditions: 2.0kN for the 8mm (M6) at 50mm embedment and 50mm edge distance, 8.0kN for the 16mm (M12) at 80mm embedment and 100mm edge distance.
