Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Pre-assembled wedge-type sleeve anchor for solid concrete, in 316 stainless for high corrosion resistance. Uses listed: handrails, external furniture, and mechanical, electrical and pipe brackets.
- Eight parts: 8mm (M6 thread) 45 to 90mm long, 10mm (M8) 45 to 95mm, and 12mm (M10) 75mm. Part numbers MTH16PM080045 to MTH16PM120075.
- Installation: 8mm anchor, 40mm minimum depth, 8 N-m; 10mm, 50mm, 25 N-m; 12mm, 60mm, 40 N-m. Minimum concrete thickness 100mm.
- Minimum spacing and edge distance: 50mm (8mm anchor), 60mm (10mm), 75mm (12mm).
- Working load in tension, 32MPa non-cracked concrete, factor of safety 2.5 for steel and 3.0 for concrete already included: 4.6kN for the 8mm (M6) at 40mm embedment, up to 16.2kN for the 12mm (M10) at 100mm.
- Working load in shear, same conditions: 2.0kN for the 8mm (M6) at 50mm embedment and 50mm edge distance, 4.8kN for the 12mm (M10) at 70mm embedment and 75mm edge distance.
Who it helps: Builders fixing handrails and outdoor fittings to concrete who need a stainless anchor with a flush head.
