Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Option 7: non-cracked concrete only, strength classes C20/25 to C50/60, reinforced or unreinforced, under static or quasi-static loads.
- Dry internal conditions only. All parts are steel, galvanised at least 5 microns, with class 8.8 screws and studs.
- Five sizes (screw/anchor diameter): M6/8, M8/10, M10/12, M10/14 and M12/16. Drill hole diameter equals the anchor diameter, 8mm to 16mm.
- Required installation torque: 20Nm (M6/8), 30Nm (M8/10), 50Nm (M10/12), 60Nm (M10/14) and 100Nm (M12/16).
- Minimum concrete thickness 100mm to 180mm, minimum edge distance 67.5mm to 135mm and minimum spacing 90mm to 180mm, rising with anchor size.
- Hammer drill the hole, clean it with a brush, insert the anchor and apply the installation torque. Fixture thickness must stay within the table maximum so the anchor reaches its embedment depth.
- No fire resistance performance assessed; reaction to fire class A1. Design is by an engineer to TR 055 or EN 1992-4; the figures are characteristic values for engineers, not working loads.
