Key things to remember
The essentials from this document in plain words. Check the full document before you rely on a figure.
- Tamper proof security fixing: the hex nut breaks away when installed, leaving a countersunk head flush with the fixture.
- For hand rails, signage, seating and lighting in public areas, correction facilities, hospitals, parks, railway stations and stadiums.
- Zinc plated carbon steel, 10mm diameter with an M8 stud: 70, 90 and 110mm long (MTFHDS03010060 to MTFHDS03010100), packs of 50.
- Maximum fixture thickness 10, 30 and 50mm for the three lengths.
- Setting: 10mm hole drilled 65mm deep, concrete at least 100mm thick, 75mm minimum edge distance and spacing. Tighten with a 15mm spanner or socket; impact drivers are not recommended.
- For engineers: characteristic loads of 7.5kN pull-out and 9.5kN shear, tested in non-cracked C20/25 concrete without edge or spacing effects. These are not working loads.
Who it helps: Installers who need a flush, vandal resistant fixing into concrete in public areas.
