The barn door runs on Hume's Frontier interior sliding track. We supply the door, the track and the hardware together, made to suit your opening. Barn doors are typically 2150mm high and 1000mm wide, with custom sizes made to order. Include your opening size with your enquiry.
Standard or Ultimate?
Frontier Standard is a hollow core barn door: lighter on the track, easier to fit and the usual pick for a pantry, study or laundry. Frontier Ultimate has a solid infill, so it slides with more weight, closes with more sound insulation and suits a bedroom or living room opening. Both use the same designs and the same Hume sliding track kit.
A barn door is sized to overlap the opening on every side, and the track length follows the door width. Tell us the opening and we size the door and track together, so the pair arrives ready to hang.
Where a sliding barn door works
A barn door runs on the face of the wall with a small gap around it, so it suits a pantry, study, laundry, walk-in robe or living room divider where a full seal is not needed. Where sound and privacy matter, Frontier Ultimate closes with more weight, and the cavity slider is the alternative that hides the door inside the wall.

Is the track and hardware included?
Add the Hume track kit to the same order and it arrives with the door. Soft close and floor guides are options on the kit.
Can a barn door be painted or stained?
Yes. Frontier doors come primed for paint, and some designs are available in a veneer face for stain. The door page lists the faces for each design.
What size barn door do I need?
The door should overlap the opening on every side, and the track runs about twice the door width. Tell us the opening and we size the door and track together.
How long does a barn door take?
Each Frontier design page shows the approximate lead time for that door and face, and we confirm the date with your quote.
